I think they both did good but it almost feels like Scott was too well trained as an actor and just barely sounds like he's speaking lines professionally. He says "supplying", "purchasing" and the last sentence like punchlines almost, they're being lead to. The other guy sounds like he is an employee being interviewed and eager to be the speaker. Krasinski could have straight up been a home video, like he barely is listening to what he is saying and just trying to force it out of himself, the doc crew asked him so he'll wing something for them, just an amateur split balling with the guy who is paid to interview him

The tempo shift I think really makes John stand out. He talks about papers so slowly like he doesn't even wanna finish the sentence. So when he then laughs and says something he actually wants to say he speaks faster, more coherently, and with a humorous tone. Hinting at the fun side of him we see when he isn't working.

I think Krasinki was definitely the most unique of the three. John Cho and Adam Scott both had good auditions, but they both played Jim like he was an uptight businessman stuck in a crappy job. Krasinki is much more laid back (the only one that didn't wear a jacket, smart costume choice) and feels less like a worker and more like the guy that was cool in college. Definitely the best choice for the character.

I think Krasinski’s little laugh is what contributed to his winning audition. Jim hates his job, but he’s still a fun loving guy. It hasn’t broken his spirit sort of like the other two seemed to be portraying

John really has this sort of ASMR quality in his delivery that just, can only be captured with how his voice drones like anyone bored with office life...

Omfg Adam Scott as Jim would jave been interesting. The way he delivers his lines feels a bit more existential in nature. When he trails off it genuinely looks like hes having a midlife crisis right then and there. Also Asian Jimmmm

John obviously had cheated by being the UK office fan, watching it MANY times and knowing exactly how to do this and he did it perfectly well.👌

He pulls a face at the end that was very much a Martin Freeman look he’d give the cameras in the original that on top of being slightly more optimistic(?)makes his audition stand out. The other guys are good but sound miserable, John sounds miserable to an extent but he’s like he’s aware how dumb his job is and he’s just gonna roll with it.
