Excellent horror film. David Naughton said in interviews that he would love to reprise his role in a sequel. His character dies at the end but as we all know in horror films that means nothing.

There was supposed to be one I believe and it does have David in it but David and Jack are 'ghosts' in this supposed sequel.

American Werewolf in London has and still does have the best designed werewolf and transformation sequence i've ever seen, at the time it was a completely new way to do a transformation...prior to that, werewolf transformations were done with cross-dissolves and application of fake fur (or 'yak hair' as it's called now).

John Landis was a big time filmmaker but after the TZ movie his career fell apart.

The worst way to watch a movie is to be told about it beforehand, you need to see a movie with no trailers, reviews, description etc. I have seen this movie many times starting from VHS not that long after it was released...It is Landis's best film.

Then you might be the right audience for one of my favorite movies - Delicatessen - my only comment is that it is a subtitled French film. Interestingly, you can watch the trailer because it’s a smart one that manages to show you the main characters, but gives away nothing of the plot. Like An American Werewolf in London, it is shocking…but I remember the VHS box giving away a vital plot point…ugh
