John was my Hero, Mentor and Role Model from I was 10yrs old in 1963 and to this very day my love for him, his music, his politics, his views on life and his personality has never waned and is in fact stronger.. Now I know why I never want to go see the Dakota building where Lennon was murdered. I found out that Roman Polanski filmed the horror film Rosemary’s Baby there! That was a creepy film and that building has gargoyles and demons on the outside fixtures. No thanks! Plus it would be too painful to see where Lennon died. That would be too hard. This memorial outside in the park is nice with the Imagine fixture and the music. People getting together over the Beatles and Johns music. Nice tribute every year!
