Yes many people talked bad about her.....not bothering to try and understand her....or her culture and sense of art/expression....just blamed her for their breakup. Jealousy and envy. When John was killed her integrity and humanity really shined through. That lady was/is a gem......John saw it.

John & Yoko had just returned from the recording studio where they had been finishing Yoko's ironically titled song, "Walking on Thin Ice". John literally dropped the tapes to the song when he was shot. The song had John's last recorded work...a raw and vicious guitar solo. It's a dance rock track that is actually good.

Cimdy, during the 1960/70s I never came across anyone saying a bad word about Yoko, apart from the press that are generally very good at bad mouthing people, and they hit out at John just as much. The bad words written about her seem to have really come about with the internet in the last twenty years. I've always felt these people never understood The Beatles and their message of love.

I was 10 the day John was killed and we cried all day long ..I had just bought the Beatles double album red record and had their picture on my room wall at my home in Durban. Music fans had fervently wished for a Beatles reunion but it was not to be. Their influence can be felt in wonderful groups like Oasis who were the biggest band in the world between 1995-2005..

Beautiful reaction Cimdy 💕 Unfortunately John was alone when he was shot about 5 times at close range...There was much anger and mystery about the whole event too. Yoko had given John's bodyguards the day off despite the fact that there was a strange and suspicious man hanging around John's apartment block for 2 or 3 days 🤔 John signed a copy of his new album "Double Fantasy ' for Mark Chapman just before he was shot...There is a famous photo of this... That signed album went on to break the world record for most expensive album EVER SOLD recently at auction...RIP JOHN XXX FIN FROM LONDON ❤

The photo at 3:40 is John lying in the morgue. A photographer paid off someone, got the shot, and sold it to the tabloids. In one of his last interviews, John said this was a sequel to the song "Girl" from The Beatles' Rubber Soul album...angry young man who grew up.

This would have made a great Beatles song. I love the jangly guitars and the little yeah yeah's at the end, very Beatle like. This is a nice song for Yoko but always makes me a little sad. John found peace in his life and was in a good place and then just about a month after the release of the Double Fantasy album he was dead, very very sad. Please also check out Watching The Wheels from this record if you haven't already reacted to it. I think it's the best song on the album. This song takes me back to 1980. I was 13. It was the first Lennon single issued after his murder. I find it hard to get over that when I hear this song again. Yoko is way cool by me. I think the blame game stuff about her is childish gossip and jealousy. "For the other half of the sky ..."

Cimdy I think you took your eyes off of the video when photos related to John's murder appear in that video, otherwise you wouldn't have been smiling blissfully at the music and words (which incidentally, don't really belong in a video with John's death referenced therein, those were edited into the original video). One photo shows Yoko alone on the bench they sat upon, another of a headline about John autographing his killer's album that day, another of John's face in death, you weren't looking, good for you.

It is in very bad taste that Yoko, who created the video, shows John laying dead in the morgue after he was murdered. Also John expressed many times he wanted to be buried and Yoko went against his wishes and and had him cremated.

I'm glad you were too busy listening to look at the screen when they showed a morgue photo of John, taken just hours after he died. That part ruined the video for me. This is a beautiful song.
