In this film - M. BUTTERFLY - John Lone is NOT THE BEST CHOICE for this role, he is too masculine, the Director could have choose another Actor for this role.. TOO BAD..

In M butterfly, he requested more feminine make up, but rejected by the director, the director thought that it can present the blindness of Rene, Rene fall in love with a male-like woman, maybe he had some clue to know that John Lone is a man, but he was blind in love

Hello@@yanbossa, The Director made wrong choice, that is the reason why this film was not successful at box office.. The Director should have chosen Leslie Leung instead John Lone... You should view the film: Farewell my concubine with Leslie Leung, too see how good he was..
