Wonderful man, Paul O Grady. My mum says she often sees him out walking his dog and when he stops to talk he is exactly the same as on the telly, a funny, kind and generous man. So different to the other "paid entertainers' on the stage beside him!!

Lydon is also a good human being, both Paul and John are working class guys who’ve been through the mill in one way or the other. Lydon now looks after his sick wife who has Alzheimer’s and he’s a devoted husband.

Dave Sanderson Lydon is a sell out but at least he’s honest about it. But for the most part I agree with you. No one, and I mean no one can match Paul for quick wit. There are better comedians but he is peerless in terms of wit.

@@tonymontana1179 He’s said loads of times that anything he’s ever done commercially was to get money to keep PIL going. And he’s been true to his word. So fuck off with the sell out bollocks
@tonymontana11793 жыл бұрын
@@oddunb6190 no need to swear. It’s true though. The whole punk movement was a sham. Malcolm McLaren was a genius for creating that. Now, I like Johnny. I always have. The thing I admire about him most is his honesty, and he “outed” Jimmy Saville and got vilified for it. I really do admire the guy, but come on, do you really think that all his commercial projects was just to keep Public Image going? The guy made millions from them, it wouldn’t have taken all that money to keep it going now would it? No doubt some went into it but where did the rest of it go? In his back pocket, that’s where. And he was honest about it.

John’s like a fine wine… gets better with age. He truly has become a British icon. However, this post shares double sadness. Not only have we just lost Paul, *an absolute legend* of television and stage, and lately an advocate for those without a voice. His love of dogs, many of whom were rescues, found their forever homes thanks largely to Paul. Secondly is John's wife of 44 years, Nora Forster, who this week lost her battle against Alzheimer’s. Fans of John will know how utterly devoted he was to Nora both as a husband and carer. His commitment to Nora was so touchingly personal yet heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. Thoughts and condolences go out to Paul’s husband, Andre, his family and friends, also to John and his family and friends. May both Paul and Nora rest peacefully for evermore 🙏

Gotta love British Award's so down to earth can u imagine anything like this in an American Award show. Get the feeling watching American Award shows that if anyone deviated from the written script all hell would break loose. Look at when Ricky Gervais hosted in America and that was to be expected he'd told them wouldnt take the job if they wanted know what hes saying b4 the event. Like Ricky said they knew what my comedy is like b4 they hired me so obviously it was to be expected. The event hit headlines next day asking is Hollywood so uptight they cant take a joke and laugh at themselves. Clearly not when u watch it seeing the long disgusted faces in the audience when Ricky pokes fun. lol

I totaly agree....THIS is how awards shows should be done for sure...
@Paddy.C7 жыл бұрын
I disagree. If they didn't like Ricky Gervais taking the piss, they wouldn't have had him back as host another 3 times. Both Chris Rock and Seth McFarlane have royally taken the piss whilst hosting the Oscars. Some people do get a bit schmaltzy with their acceptance speeches, but the same could be said for the Baftas.
