@ThePocholo11 If someone thinks this is an American breed then ya, their stupid. The breed is relatively new to the USA having come here in the 50s. I worked for Mr. Tom Uelsmann before he did (rest his soul), and he was the man who helped to start the American PFHA.

I loved this. I’ve had pasos for awhile and can’t say enough good things about them. I still ride my ancient old mare at 73 and she’s as smooth as ever. Lots of go, amazing largo, and comfortable corto. Not sure I’ll ever have another one but I’m not done quite yet!

On how many breeds can anyone including older and more fragilel riders travel 25 or 30 miles and go dancing afterwards? Not many and the paso fino will be on the top of the list. They are strong, agile, love to go, smart, come in most colors and sizes and many different temperaments. Go enjoy your Arabian, QH, warmblood and when you're finished, hop on your paso fino to just fly across the pasture effortlessly and just enjoy yourself with a horse that reads your mind.

Have been offered a year old Paso Fino recently.I have never had a horse B4,raised many goats, chickens, dogs, and cats this is a 1st for me.A little nervous. He is a small boy and will be medium sized when full grown,he is not gelded,as he was bred from special stock and they did not want to.Any suggestions out there?Today I go over and learn to halter him and walk with him,he has had no training yet.All suggestions welcomed.

You need to take advantage of this offer, they are wonderful horses. A word of well learned advice...if you are not prepared to breed him....geld him NOW! They are very loving, loyal boys, smart and most have lots of brio (spirit), and they stallion factor turns them into hot, stubborn bulls. (not fun). My 16 year old wasnt gelded until he was 12. Big mistake, huge. (and dont treat him like a labordor puppy.....he is a horse) Hope this helps.

@eazzyc35 not really, Spain brought the Spanish Jennet and the other breeds, but they did not bring the Paso Fino. It was created and developed in Colombia and Puerto Rico
