bc petrakos It’s funny to think what Calvinism really is vs what Arminians think it is. I prefer to think according to what I see in Scripture. Arminians and Calvinists alike have the responsibility to preach the Gospel. Calvinists do it all the time, but they don’t do altar calls, because it’s not a biblical practice.

Pastor John is a man of integrity and the word of God. He doesn’t beat around the bush like other mega church pastors on controversial topics. He answers it straight even if it offends. He gets the authority from the WORD. He knows that Ben is Judaism and yet he preaches Christ. On the other hand, Ben is super patient and calm. He just listens and learn. @savedbygracealone52014 жыл бұрын
@Bennett McCoy Thanks. I might look into it. However, let me just tell u that I know what does the Rome teach, our family was once a part of it. Then we heard the message of salvation through grace alone through faith alone, that the only mediator between us and God is His Son Jesus. For by grace u have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God, not result of works, so that no one may boast. (Eph.2:8-9)

@bvokey88424 жыл бұрын
Pastor MacArthur is too passive. Ben asks him if there would ever be a time when Christians would defend themselves from the government, using the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany as examples. MacArthur basically says Christians don’t believe in self defense no matter what the circumstance. “I don’t think there’s ever a time where you would be justified in killing the people in power...we would rather suffer.” (See around the 19-20 minute mark). Christians should defend themselves if their lives are on the line. Read Luke 22:36. I’m not saying it should be tit for tat, an eye for an eye, that you should get revenge, but if your government is knocking on your door ready to kill you as what happened within Nazi Germany, it’s wrong not to try and defend yourself lest you’re promoting the spread of evil.

18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.” 20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not know Him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22 Jews demand signs and Greeks search for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength. •_•_• 26 Brothers, consider the time of your calling: Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were powerful; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 He chose the lowly and despised things of the world, and the things that are not, to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast in His presence. 30 It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God: our righteousness, holiness, and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let him who boasts boast in the Lord.” • AMEN • Boast in the Lord, Jesus.

Gilbert D Hmm ok. Let’s unpack this. Do you ever feel like living your faith is hard work? Is there grace in these moments?
@gldesmarais93565 жыл бұрын
@Alex Gorges - Salvation is not doing your best, it is having Christ's best put to your account through receiving Him by faith. God will not save anyone who is trying to be saved, He will only save those who are trusting to be saved. We are saved simply by BELIEVING the Gospel. 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 defines the “Gospel” as the DEATH, BURIAL, and RESURRECTION of Jesus. This includes the blood of Christ (Romans 5:9).

@@vladv.8819 I wish he'd take on a different format from that. He should record that separately, and then simply splice it into the edit when there is an opportune moment. Then again, the format he uses is modeled after how they used to do it on Live TV, and there is a certain charm to that which I like. However, there is also the fact I can simply fast-forward the adverts until they start speaking again--which I do. So, it kind of defeats the purpose of using the format in the first place.

@@bobseaver7807 as a christian you can say that! Not as one that denies that jesus is the messiah! Are you still waiting for the messiah? Daniel chapt 9 says that he would come and be cut off but not for himself it also says that would happen 430 years after a signing of a decree by cyrus to let the jewish people return from babylon to Jerusalem.....actually the exact day happens to be on nissan 10 33ad the day jesus road into Jerusalem on the back on a foal of a donkey fullfilling zak 9:9. The jewish people acknowledged him as the messiah! Called him son of david! Said save now! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD! All messanic terms! The religious leaders told jesus to tell the people to stop saying the things that they are saying and he replied that if they did not say them that the very rocks would come to life to say them! Hogyn Drwg 1 John 2:23 says.. “Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also.” The Religion of Judaism rejects Jesus Christ so they have not the Father(Yahweh). Thus they have a different god. It’s that simple.
