You can find Mr. Miller on a cliff near blackwater to the south (I think) of strawberry overlooking the Upper Montana River. I won’t spoil the mission, but if you wait a day after talking to him, you can visit his cabin to the west of Manzanita Post a few times.

Its a sidequest, you find this guy at the top of a mountain close to strawberry and he say some bullshit about nature god and humanity. You can meet him later after this with other missions, until he locks himself inside his house to finish a book, you bring him food but at some point this happens.

He's basically a philosopher of sorts; he's a good guy though, cares about animals & the natives, etc. He's honestly one of the nicest & kindest characters you'll meet. You'll meet him as Arthur in chapter 4 & 6; you'll meet him as John pretty much whenever.
