I once fell in love in Bennington. I was working at my Aunt and Uncles piano camp raking rocks and trimming hedges.. She lived in the John Gardner house which is right next to Robert Frosts grave. We would meet at the monument. It lasted a summer. Magic place magic time magic fireflies on Mt Anthony.

John Maus + the live band helps to enhance the absolute genius behind these tracks. Maus is an excellent front man, I love his recordings but I wish he would incorporate this energy and rawness into them. Truly incredible live, I find that the live videos are much more satisfying due to the intensity.

Agreed, the studio recordings were haunting but I guess miking it up within a live setting makes it more echoey and the intensity of his screams and wailings just seems enhanced instantly.

His obituary said heart defect but before the official news came out apparently John's ex-wife posted on instagram claiming they were all on drugs and he died of an overdose but I really don't know if that should be considered a valid source. .-.

a general observations and questions: john got himself a band this is the first interview I've ever watched of john that I completely understood everything he was talking...kinda so his band has either grounded him, or he's mellowed out since he's gotten older what happened to the hot guy on the laptop that played in San Francisco Juan is the guitarist in Small Black John's brother is playing bass, only slaps it with one finger sometimes the drummer is wearing a hoodie, probably from american apparel or a random skate company Do your best was sick. like the use of red and blue light.
