pnut3844able not pretentious man, it just might not apply to you. I struggle with putting on a face for everyone to try and show them that I’m “mature for my age” when in reality I’m not and it has cost me enjoyment to just live in the moment. I’m happy that I’m realizing it now. What is pretentious to act like you’re “all that” to impress people and have them think highly of you, you’re lying to yourself and those around you, and you make yourself seem less approachable. ( I’m not talking about u when I say “you”, just talking in general)
@alexgulino3354 жыл бұрын
@@pnut3844able ... I don't think you know what pretentious means. It's actually much closer to the opposite of that. A pretentious statement would be that people didn't care at first until I change their mind. Not really in the same realm that his comment was... he was just saying that he invested a lot of time and energy into setting things up/creating things for certain people who didn't care. Wasted energy doing things for people who don't appreciate it in the least. That's not pretentious... its closer to self-deprecating in that he's saying he was very naive and got taken advantage of essentially which caused him no shortage of misery just worded in a different way.

It's December 15, 2021, Kolkata, India, 5:48 a.m. It's been almost 6 years since this song introduced me to John Mayer's music and my whole career on guitar studies changed once and for all. Tired after doing my engineering assignments for the entire night I decided to take a break and suddenly this song popped up in my head and as I came to check it out for almost the 1000th time, the nostalgia hit me like a running truck. The tears I shed through this man's music, the healing this man caused me incomparable to nothing. Yes, just imagine him making a cover song more popular than the original. Because that’s what you’d have to do. His somewhat effeminate, nasal moaning version somehow managed to reach #51 on Billboards chart (have to admit, I’d never even heard it before and he did his cover almost 13 years ago.). So, yeah, super popular. Mr. Pettys version, which just about anybody with the slimmest of links to music and pop culture is more than likely familiar with, on the other hand, made it to #1 in 1989, So, I really have no idea what you’re talking about. Perhaps that was just your considered opinion it was better. That I’ll grant you.

John Mayer is the quintessential musician of our time. "I'm a bad boy for breaking her heart." This one hits home... I broke her heart and I'm paying for it. It's tragic. To all of the guys out there who've taken advantage of a woman's heart. Don't do that. I thought I would never be that person. It hurts you in ways you've never been hurt before... talking from experience. Just know that's not who you are and don't let yourself be defined by it. Remember who you are. Caring, kind, and loving. Sometimes things just go wrong and you just have to realize you'll be a better person from it...
