John you’re so damn cool. You’re one hell of a song writer, singer and in my opinion the best guitarist in the world. Keep going!!!

Very cool. I was doing some accounting while you walked. Adding up all the technology, labor for first class technology guys, repairs, venue cost, back office people, set-up and tear don folks, trucks, drivers, catering etc. So I arrived at these things aren't cheap to pull off. Kind of puts a different prospective on ticket prices. Thanks for the show and tell.

And John if you see this, "Cheers!" from Enfield, CT where I once fronted the band "Crossroads" in the mid-late 1970s. Peace to you and yours brother.

"Hey Rene, can I get the Chinese Strat? The Black Chinese Strat?" So even a $120 Black Squier Strat is going to sound Like John Mayer, because John Mayer sounds like John Mayer. Great vid of a sliver of what goes into producing a full blown road show looks like. Thanks for posting!

I think he’s saying the “shiny black strat” (as opposed to the relic’d) as it later shows his production model Black One guitar. I believe those were made in the US. That said, I think your comment still stands.

Yup. Reminds me of that famous video of Yngwie playing a Squier with Alcatrazz and he’s just being Yngwie. Sometimes it ain’t the tools. It’s the craftsman.

One more thing, the Red Strat Plus you bought in Seattle in 2012 and used on "Queen of California" at Crossroads 2013 was a great guitar, I recognized by the knobs.

I remember watching this video some years ago. Today my algorithm brought it up again. What a good decision. I laughed a lot watching this again. About the baby office, the cloth choice 😅 decision chair or his mic- 🎙️iiii. No small-talk 😂 phone damn, backstage engineering equality ⚖️ 🥰

John Mayer seems so fucking cool. I dig him as a player, and I think I would dig him as a dude, too.

I worked at the Mobil with John . We hated each other . I’m probably his biggest fan now. And I can tell you that stardom hasn’t changed him one bit and I respect that . Bravo John

You know what makes John Mayer unique, beyond the fretboard? His EQUALLY gifted ability to communicate...he thinks about who he's talking to and puts himself in THEIR shoes, then proceeds with impecable word choice, some of the most creative analogies I've ever heard, and makes it relatable....(he would laugh and say, yeah some call that songwriting!). I love listening to him talk about ANYthing for this reason. He's just a phenomenal speaker! I think both his parents were educators and his Mom was an English teacher...This talent began somewhere...I'm going with Mom! Am I right?? 😊
