I just come to this video from time to time to Keith Carlock's solo on Half of my Heart. What a master!

The best part is when he counts John back in. Cuz you can't trust a stoned dude in raver pants to know when to go back to singing his own song.

JM is so fly and fine! I've seen many entertainers come and go, but no one like him. He is top shelf and reigns supreme in talent. So glad he is here and going to be around for a long time more to come. His artistry is timeless and so is he. God bless him. I love him to pieces. He is forever the Light, a Master, the Man and the King ❣💡🌟💎👑

THIS is real music, clear vocals, great guitar solos, instruments, talent and pure feels. I think music even in the rock n roll world needs a bit of a shake up today. Just tend to see new bands come out screaming down mics, jumping around the stage/into the crowd and playing power chords. then wonder why they never get noticed or get very far.
@tomlewitt3 жыл бұрын
Exactly. There's no substitute for old-school blistering musicianship and incredible songwriting ...
@Reversefilms3 жыл бұрын
I think that's a very reductionist way of looking at things. Music is for everybody and people like different things, just because it's not to your taste doesn't mean it requires less skill or talent to play :)

So much Stevie ray Vaughn in that gravity solo, playing with one hand, and especially behind the back, sad thing is most of these screaming fans, don't appreciate what john is doing there laying homage to one of the greatest of all time!
@jude9994 жыл бұрын
Much of his style, including the voice is Stevie Ray.

@charlesh57915 жыл бұрын
@pieceOfmind he really isn't, I keep telling people around me about him and I have yet to find someone who knows him (some have heard of him though)
@oest20295 жыл бұрын
He isnt known in the UK either, although I guess he is more so than France, because I don't think he's ever played France? First time I came across him was about five years ago in a Sony electronics shop here in the UK. His Where the Light Is, Live in LA Concert was being shown on all the TV screens (maybe because he's a Sony/columbia recording artist?), but anyway I was impressed by the concert and only stayed in the shop to watch more of it. I asked the staff and virtually everyone else in shop if they knew who this was that was playing. No one in the whole time I was there had a clue and the staff couldn't find the DVD case. I eventually found him by googling the songs later on that evening... .
