If you're confused about anything, check out some of Mayer's live solos throughout the years for a better understanding of how this backing track is built. 😄 The mid solo has a total of 48 bars here, and at bar 33 is usually where I go minor. After that there will be a countdown where you'll begin playing the original studio solo, like he always does live. At the last solo, I'll usually go full minor at bar 17 all the way to the double stops. The first double stops are the ones that John does himself, solo... and the second double stops is where the other guitar comes in and harmonizes with him. During the Sob Rock tour he actually switched it around, and mostly played the harmony that I've recorded here (with bends). Hopefully that answered any questions!

You have no idea how happy I was to see that there was 48 bars reserved for the mid solo. All backing tracks of SDiABR on KZbin completely neglects that part of the song, so I was pleasantly surprised to see this backing track has it. Definitely gonna be my go-to slow dancing jam track from now on.

That’s awesome to hear, thank you! I felt the same as you, which is why I made this. I love when John takes his time to play the mid solo, eventually leading up to the studio solo. I’m glad you liked it! If you have any other mayer backing track you’d like me to create, with extended solos, let me know. It’s so hard to decide for my next one. 🤣

Love this! Could you perhaps also make another Slow Dancing backing track wherein the mid solo portion has more of an “intimate” style of beat? Wherein the drums and all the other backing instruments are more subtle. More like the live shows where John has those really slow and emotional solos. Would be really cool if you could do that!

Thank you! I can't sell this one because of copyright, but there are multiple online services that you can use to download from KZbin to mp3. My favorite program is 4K Downloader.

Could you do one for gravity, that would be amazing if you could do that. kind of like the gravity from Austin city limits. Please I'd love to play to that.
