yep! a good guitar straight in a good tube amp. Thats how i really became a good guitar player. Having to controll your guitar to sound good instead of having 100 pedals doing the job for you of even "masking" your mistakes . learn how to roll back on your guitar volume to have a great clean out of a crunch channel . And it also made me good at acoustic guitar as there is nothing more "raw" than acoustic guitar playing. ✌😎

@Rob919Gore Sure. If you practice your guitar without an amp, then you cannot hear the nuances so you pick too hard, too miuch pressure on both hands. Then if you use too much thumb (left hand) wrap around the neck, no so great for bending, smooth vibrato etc. Alternate picking. Even John Mayer had this problem but we fixed it. Holding pick too tight. Should hold a pick with less pressure. but I see more and more people got bad habits. Tomo
@brandonjenkins65734 жыл бұрын
Something funny this reminds me of: several piano instructors of mine say the same thing, that you should ease up on the keyboard and don't be so tense. This help the dynamics have a more natural feel.
@TomoFujitaMusic Now I believe them. Thanks Tomo, it's an honor to hear it from you, being my hero's mentor once :). I'll do that and I will keep that promise :) You're great Tomo! Thank You...really. When you see John again please tell him that he shaped my musical path and his music keeps my musical spirit alive and kicking. Thank you so much, Tomo for helping jhon creating an outstanding artist from himself. You have so much passion for playing that even a video of 2 min is enough for anyone to get into the guitar's world. You both are awesome!!

So much tone in those hands! Mind-blowing! Forget about boutique amps, expensive effects and guitars. It's all in those hands! Remember, gear is just enhancing.
