yep! a good guitar straight in a good tube amp. Thats how i really became a good guitar player. Having to controll your guitar to sound good instead of having 100 pedals doing the job for you of even "masking" your mistakes . learn how to roll back on your guitar volume to have a great clean out of a crunch channel . And it also made me good at acoustic guitar as there is nothing more "raw" than acoustic guitar playing. ✌😎

@Rob919Gore Sure. If you practice your guitar without an amp, then you cannot hear the nuances so you pick too hard, too miuch pressure on both hands. Then if you use too much thumb (left hand) wrap around the neck, no so great for bending, smooth vibrato etc. Alternate picking. Even John Mayer had this problem but we fixed it. Holding pick too tight. Should hold a pick with less pressure. but I see more and more people got bad habits. Tomo

Amazing job to the both of you. Seeing guitarists like you is what inspires me to keep playing and practicing guitar. I'm completely self taught and started playing a couple of years ago. I can handle myself now (I'm still not that great, I'm terrible at using a pick), but I wish I had a teacher a like you, because I feel like I would've gone above and beyond my current guitar playing ability a long time ago with you as my teacher. Great job :)

@TheGrantCave I think we understand about scales and we are pretend as if we don't scales/theory. Another words, we play music with feeling and I think John, I we worked on our homework. Blues, triads are very important. No trick or mystery. All you need to have very clear dream, your goal, then make huge efforts. Tomo
