Such a beautiful heartfelt version of this song sung by John. Eric Bogle who wrote this for the children who died in the Dunblane Massacre. Had this sung at my partners funeral last year and listen to it often when I feel low - a really beautiful song

Dedicated today to the 19 innocent children of Uvalde, Texas who were brutally taken away from this world by a crazed gunman. Like the kindergarten babes who were the ones Eric wrote this song for, who can understand why these horrid events happen? All of your lights and those of your two teachers will always shine on in the hearts of those you left behind. 19 small stars now lighting up heaven. Shine on, little ones.
