Its sad that we live in a world where Mark Tremonti gets endorsements for pretty much whatever he wants, and someone like John, who has contributed greatly to metal music, has to go buy pedals with Tremonti's name on them. Tremonti's music is about as unique as a hard on in a preachers dressing room. He has very little to say musically IMO.

Awesome vid John! Any chance you give an overview of your amps themselves? I'm curious how your rig has evolved since the beginning of the band to the present.

John, how did you and Craig EQ on the first couple of albums, were you scooping your mids, have lots of bass, mids, and less treble, gain from solid state or tube, interested in the tones, especially on onward.

Looked up the Alesis Quadraverb on ebay after watching this video and the things come pretty cheap second hand but looks like the power supplies for them blowing out are a common problem, still, looks like i can get one for about 30£ (about 50USD) and for what it is its cheap as fuck. Also, im shooting in the dark here, but have you had a chance to play around with an amptweaker tightmetal pedal? Paul from Asphyx apparently uses one of them and his guitar tone is amazing...

Hey John. Quick question. There is a debate over on reddit's /r/metal over what sub-genre Incantation is. A few that have been purposed is Blackened Death Metal, Unholy Death Metal, and Cavernous Death Metal. There definitely is an Incantation flavor of death metal. Bands like Funebrarum, Dead Congregation, Morpheus Descends, Disma, Funerus(obviously) ect ect all share the Incantation flavor of death metal. Just wanted to know your take on what to call it? Thanks.

9 years late but incantation doesn’t have the hardest music to play in the world. Just tune to C and learn by ear as it’s pretty easy. First song by then I learned by ear is Ibex Moon

John, Did you get one of those line 6 heads from Sam a few years back? I met him in Rockland and sold him mine. Fan since day one bro. Still have my Incantation demo cassette.
