Fun fact. They generally don't need shot down. You can fly over them and there is a tool that is basically like a large fish net with weights on it. This takes down drones because it wraps up into the propellers when it lands over the top of any drone. It really is not hard to take these down if you have access to a helicopter! Yes, that means any law enforcement can do it. They are choosing not to. These drones are either registered with the FCC and they know who it is, or they are not. If not, it is within the jurisdiction of local state law enforcement to deal with it. The Federal Government says it's not them. So that means these are flying illegally and local law Enforcment can take them down. They have done it before and 100s of people have been arrested for illegally flying drones.

Drone and RC hobbyist here. In the daytime at about 50+ yards, it's hard to tell the size and orientation of any object that small. That's why we use lights and bright colors as markers to determine orientation. If you've bad eyesight and it's dark out, it's even harder to tell.

@@corecollapse4726 Without optics to magnify objective with range finding to determine distance, it's hard to tell how how far and large an object is especially if there is no point of reference. If you had said optics and knowledge of the various models used for civilian and military use, you might be able correctly identify what you're looking at. Other than that, it's just an uneducated guess at best. Could be Aliens probing with their drones if you like tin hat theories. 😁

One thing that gets my mind going is the fact that I have seen a few videos of people filming strange orbs that move extremely fast and clearly aren't planes OR 'drones'. Imo, most of what people are seeing is because they're looking for something, but there is a small number of videos that are very spooky.
