Grace was honestly my favourite out of all his love interests.She was smart, mature and absolutely gorgeous! I would love to have her back but I think the writers purposefully wrote her off the way they did, poor Nolan. Though I do think his new teacher is a potential interest.

A couple getting back together for the sack of their kid is so stupid. They broke up for a reason. It would make more sense to say we're still in love and want to reconcile. If the feelings are no longer there what is the point? Tim's girlfriend leaving town, yippee!!! Now Tim and Lucy can get together.

Not really. It’s called putting your own interests aside for the sake of your kid, like parents are supposed to do. If you want to divorce once your kids all grown up, fine. It’s like completing a project with someone you don’t like at work or for school. Sometimes, you need to put aside your differences and ignore what you don’t like about a person for the sake of a common goal, whether it’s for a job, a grade, or in this case, for the sake of their child. They don’t have to try ‘dating’ or loving each other again because like you said, there’s a reason for why they broke up. But they can still work as a team to finish their last project together: their child.

Kelly Allen I can get that. Some people just can’t make it work. But I’ve also seen it where the kids become more messed up because of the parents splitting (had a friend who was a Straight A honors student before they started getting into some sketchy stuff when they entered high school (nothing too bad, but enough to put them in danger). They’re better now but it had some serious ramifications in regards to their education and employment options later in life). I guess it depends on the situation and how bad the split is.

I do not understand the writers of this series regarding nolan and grace and I explain: They had an intense relationship in the past they break because they got their ex pregnant, 20 years later they meet again, it is obvious that the chemistry and the love between them still exists, little by little they get closer, and when they are together it turns out that he returns with his ex-husband for the son ,,,,, there are several chapters together to break. Why do the writers always screw up? They made a beautiful love story and it just so happens that in real life it happens ... I don't know if the writers did it this way to make fans of the series and of Nolan and Grace suffer or simply the actress leaves the series ... .

I miss Grace, to me she was the best love interest for Nolan. She and him had a natural spark. I don't dislike Jena Dewan's character Bailey, she's fun in a way, but... I just got done watching this episode. Very sad about this! I think Grace broke up with John for the wrong reason. Trying to make it work with her ex-husband just because her son is having a hard time doesn't seem reasonable to me. She'll just end up being bitter and unhappy and resenting both her husband and her son for her unhappiness. Divorce is legitimately traumatizing. Not discounting what poor Oliver is going through. It just seems like she jumped back in with her husband too fast if that's the only reason. Sometimes parents are better when they're not married to each other. At least Grace had the guts to do it to his face. In another comment, someone pointed out that John left Grace for the same reason when they were in college. For some reason, it feels different to me like John did the right thing where as Grace is getting back into an unhappy relationship just for the sake of her child. But, logically, that doesn't make sense. I mean, John didn't have to marry Sarah to help provide for Henry and be there for him. So, maybe he did the same exact thing and I need to think about this more. I don't know. I've never been in this kind of relationship before.
