An amazing performance. Its not just the speed and accuracy of those fast octaves - a technical facility to match any of the legendary pianists. But also the way he makes sense of one of Liszt's more bombastic works by getting a coherence over the whole and bringing out the flow of the whole piece - those overarching lines. Ogdon's a genius!

Nobody plays this like Ogdon. I have heard so many versions but they pale into insignificance compared with this. Thank you so much for posting up here.
