John was the only disciple who was actually present there with Jesus. The accounts of the other disciples are most probably put together from memory later. Critical analysis of the Bible reveals many truths that otherwise evade the ordinary reader of the Bible.

The seven churches are in present day Turkey, around the South West coastline. Most people don't realize that the region now called Turkeyie was inhabited by the various people of Greece; the Ionians, and the Megari, even prior to BC 900. They also don't know that the Turks are not the indigenous people of that part of (Asia.) The Turks are central Asians, from around the Khazakastan area and neighboring areas who colonized the area.

First: You need to know, understand and believe the message or gospel of salvation and rightly divide the dispensations in the Holy Scriptures. This is the gospel of salvation: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Galatians 1.8 KJV But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than thai ye have received, let him be accursed. From here depends the whole message of salvation.

The temple of Artemis was not an "evil" "evil" "evil" place. No more evil than the Jerusalem temples where animals were sacrificed non-stop as well. Provide evidence, real evidence that the burnt animal sacrifices were continual. Artemis was the goddess of chastity, hunting, wild animals, forests, childbirth, and fertility. The goddess' cult at Ephesus included eastern elements (borrowed from goddesses such as Isis, Cybele, and the “Mistress of the Animals”), as did her representation in art, with surviving statues, unlike elsewhere in Greece, being covered in eggs as symbols of her role as a fertility goddess. Hence, the goddess worshipped at Ephesus is often referred to as Artemis Ephesia. Mother goddesses were common in the ancient world, through out the world. In fact, Mary the mother of Jesus is one such mother goddess. Animal sacrifices were very common in all traditions in the ancient world; from East to West and from North to South. Mother godess archetypes were envisioned and "felt into" during childbirth. So, what's wrong with that? Nothing. Patriarchy isn't the only god around, matriarchy is just as valid and valuable. In fact, everyone knows, and science proves it, that the female is the default gender. Not the male!
