My Mom and I.just loved this preacher! As a new babe in Christ, he blessed my heart so much I can't say! I was saved and water baptised at the Tiles Baptist Temple in 1980. I went up for prayer and when they asked what I needed prayer for, I said I wanted the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and they stood back and said "Thats of the devil!" and my friend with me said "It is not!.I have it and I'm not of the devil!" I remembered a little Assembly of God that I had once visited when invited and we went immediately over there and the Assistant Pastor was just locking the Church doors and when I told him why I'd come, he said service was at 6pm and they'd be proud to pray for me! That became my home church and yes, I was gloriously filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence!! Mom and I cried when he passed away but happy knowing he was I Glpry.with Jesus! So is my Mom now too. I so miss his preaching, there is nobody like him! Thankful that I found this site!! Praise the Lord!

I believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost and I have it! I pray for wisdom when witnessing about it to other Christians who say that it is not for us in this generation. The enemy is using everything he has against people of the earth today, and without the power of the Holy Ghost, he will walk all over us! Keith Alan thank you very much for posting these!!! he was before my time but I'm a Houston resident and have been to see Joel but there is no comparison. John truly is anointed and these post have helped me truly understand how to refine my relationship with Christ and I think actually make me truly understand scripture and how to be truly saved. thank you very much they have made a huge impact in my life!! I can't find true preaching of the bible. No one wants to talk about hell anymore and I feel that is a huge disservice. I feel a lot of good people will wind up in hell due to this contemporary preaching. thank you keith!!

Joel osteen PREACHES NOTHING LIKE HIS POP. He is almost just an inspirational motivator. someone that comes to high school assemblies and motivate the students. . . . BUT I DONT HEAR THIS TYPE OF FIRE IN JOEL. Joel also dosent really teach scripture and every sermon I can count on one hand how many times he talks about JESUS. . . not just keep generalizing everything by saying GOD .
