This reminds me of Braveheart. John Osteen is William the Longshanks, mighty King of England, secure in his purpose, effective and decisive in war, an excellent leader (though defeated by Wallace, another story altogether). Joel Osteen is like Longshanks son, the heir-apparent to the throne of England (I forget his actual name), yet he is a total wimp, feminine, selfish, unloving, incapable and ineffective in war and leadership toward victory. Joel's understanding of God pales compared to dad.
