Gospel music legend John P. Kee continues his celebration of the musical legacy of The Rance Allen Group with a new solo recording of the trio’s 1983 classic, “Hear My Voice.” Kee calls The Rance Allen Group original version of the track as one of his favorites! On this redo, Kee performs the ballad himself with an old school church feel that is buttressed by sweet Hammond B3 organ fills and Sunday morning Baptist keyboarding. Kee’s raspy pipes hoop, holler, and howl in a manner that would even make Rance smile with approval.
