I was a kid, and I remember the elders talkin' bout, " John P Kee, doin all that worldy music in the church, doubt he's even saved..."^^ But yet we doin his song, or, songs rather in the choir, children AND adults. But it's not just gospel that's effected like that. Hip hop too. It used to be Grandmaster Flash, then Kool Mo D, Run DMC. Then whennew stuff came, same reaction, minus the "saved" part lol. I don't even listen to todays hip hop, not intentionaly, but the other day, I listened to some Juvenile, and comments were like, "the days of real hip- hop...", I hit the dirt!^^

I’m 30 years old and gospel choir music/Pastor Kee & NLCC/90’s gospel music ruled my whole childhood from the time I was a little boy, my mother was hugely a fan of it and turned me on to it very early on. I stay in gospel nineties-ology but I’ve also embrace a little bit of the music of my day and time, while I’m an old soul I recognize everything has a season and time, styles and sounds evolve and change over time but God never changes, his anointing will be in anything/anyone who gives him place and there are some anointed artists of this day as well, also there’s a generation like me who continue to keep gospel choir music around, it’ll never die . I was taught as long as you keep something going it’ll never be a fade but always stay in style, there’s nothing new under the sun, it’s only new to those who have never experienced it and every generation does it a little differently, but peel back the layers and you’ll discover the roots are still there. Because of how skillfully anointed and innovative Pastor Kee and his contemporaries were during those glorious days, their music will remain timeless and stand the test of time, from generation to generation. ❤ Thank you Jules
