Just love Patitucci. Such a remarkable musician, and seems like a real decent human being.

Dripping with humility and of course he gives the glory to the giver of all good gifts Jesus. John was gracious enough to give me a few minutes on the phone a few years ago when I was shopping for a 6 string. He recommended his signature Yamaha but I really wanted a Ken smith. I ignored his advice and got the Ken smith and it was one of those basses which sounded great at home but did not really cut it with the band's I play in. I eventually got the signature Yamaha for half the price of the smith and it's hands down the best bass I ever owned. It sounds great at home and with the bands! Thanks John for a great legacy of work, not that you're done yet! I wish you had mentioned Michel Camilo among your inspirations, he is my numero uno.

John Patitucci has always been my favourite bass player for many years, aside from being a great player and an amazing composer, he is one of the nicest and most humble guys and I am so lucky that I got to meet him. He has done it all and played with just about everyone, he is a thinking man's bassist and is incredibly versatile on both the acoustic and electric bassses. A true legend

John Patitucci is a great Bass player! Regarding to his song called "Ivory Coast"(part 1 and part 2), I wonder if he've been traveling to Ivory Coast, the country where I'm from. And he's actually also talking about African culture😊. I've also noticed his "thanks giving" to JESUS CHRIST the KING of Kings and the LORD of Lords, since my first jazz book a friend gave to me back in the day(John Patitucci Electric Bass). We love you John!

You guys did a fantastic job with this interview! Thank you so much! JP was allowed to express himself fully and beautifully, speaking about the important aspects of the music, culture and life! I think many of the more well known and highly paid interviewers would do well to learn your approach. I've watched JP's carreer over the years, starting with his gig with Chick Corea. I was so happy to see him get the gig with Wayne Shorter. Both of those live albums with Wayne, Brian and Danilo are amazing. Also very happy to see him begin playing with Adam Rogers, a great musician and also someone who he has a lot in common with (very similar influences, including Classical music). Thanks again!

You are welcome. It´s the most in-depth, personal interview I have ever seen of him in the 30 years that I have been following his career. Thanks for asking straightforward questions and then letting him talk...It´s funny how many people forget that those two factors are essential for a good interview: good questions and good listening(from the interviewer). May all of your future interviewees offer answers as interesting and compelling and honest as Mr. Patitucci does! Best Wishes to you!
