This here is exactly what made Zeppelin so diverse and so much to contend with musically. There’s nothing they couldn’t do when you have this level of creativity and musicianship in the back of your pocket.

Soo damn good!! He is the frame that Zep was built on. He held it all together.

It genuinely annoys me that John Paul Jones is so great yet not as well recognised as Page, Plant and Bonham. He was the best musician in Zeppelin, excellent on so many levels; melody, tone, rhythm, chops. The dude had it all, and apparently still does!!

Yep him and Bonham gave them that infamous sound

The bassist typically just doesn’t get the recognition others get, and whatever, it is what it is. I felt so annoyed for him when Page and Plant got together for that concert in the 90’s and Jones wasn’t part of it. Why wouldn’t they invite him??
@X1xone8 ай бұрын
@@krunchyfrogg I wish they would have invited Jones as well, but the reason they did not is that they did not want the pressure of it being Led Zeppelin and having to live up to that. Page and especially Plant wanted to do something a little more low key.
@krunchyfrogg8 ай бұрын
@@X1xone I heard something similar, but I think it’s a cop out. I mean, what’s everyone going to think with it “just” being “Page/Plant” and doing all Led Zeppelin songs?

Roaring Rock whale song in low frequencies. Maybe low but penetrating & he said he was going to do a thing called 'Big Ears' & he keeps his Word.

I didn't even hear about this OR LAST YEAR'S APPARENTLY! The only thing I miss about the loss of A & E papers. Re his popularity - I think he sold his Rights at some point after Zep. Page knew he had half of his next Band in JPJones alone from session days.
