@@seaofcronos675 He recently tweeted a very odd thing about China and their Zero Covid policy, which even (and that is a very big 'even') the BBC had to make themselves criticise in the mealy mouthed, snide way they do these things. The lesson is to never make heroes of anybody. Where they speak truth, applaud them, where they stray, do not applaud them and take to task on it. Pilger is allied to the left, which informs his thinking, he has done some brilliant journalism in the past, but is mortal. 95 per cent of the 'left' Liberal world completely swallowed the idea that a bureaucracy can control the epidemiology of virus spread. A million cynical, power hungry and authoritarian Liberals seized the moment and ran with it. Whether they knew why or what is another topic, but they took the opportunity. What is most sobering is the public's acceptance of this sudden departure into Bio-Security and acceleration of Technocracy when they would argue that on everything else these people are corrupt, evil, wrong, badly motivated, egotistical, etc. And too many comments on here are like children before a pop star - very dangerous.

They are out there but are being silenced by the legacy corporate media and villainized by those who have bought the narrative the WEF, Globalist, NATO and EU elites posing as the left are selling them. Even when all the evidence against their recently altered opinion and position on things such as the Neo Nazi Nationalist Extremist Azov Battalion slaughtering ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine was in the MSM headlines and Ukraine was too corrupt to ever become part f the EU and would never be allowed in NATO to now after sending the CIA, foreign services and state departments Victory Nuland to overthrow the government after having young agents posing as working for NGO's in Kiev to influence the younger generation to rise in the color revolutions and overthrow the elected government that wouldn't bow down to the Obama, Biden, Clinton democrats allowing the USA and the EU control their government and take over the oil & gas from the Oligarchs and install military bases armed with Nuclear missiles. The real problem isn't that there are no ethical journalists, it's actually that MSM pays journalists more money, promises fame and a career on prime-time TV that is largely owned by the very corporations and elite that elects and controls government, the FBI, CIA, NSA and installs their people within the media to give them the talking points and propaganda they want pushed on the people to disguise the truth and their real agenda. The other problem is those same powers are also in control of social media and are using all these tools to influence the public which includes who gets elected to who gets a voice or gets banned, canceled, goes missing, goes to jail, can't return to America, gets defamed, outcast as a racist or is transphobic. We just have to dig deeper to source out the truth and debunk the lies and propaganda being spewed out to the masses. The most recent Twitter reveals were shocking, watch Jimmy Dore's KZbin with Jeffrey Sachs as a guest, it's unbelievable what was going on before the 2020 election and since really.

Your comment in itself should be a less than subtle warning of just how dangerous the media has become that it takes courage to put a world-class, highly respected, seasoned journalist in the past 6 decades on a KZbin video as a guest. Not only does it make a statement about KZbin but on a larger scale the type of world we live now that we have to fear speaking the truth or expressing our views. When the richest, most advanced 1st world countries have reached the point unanimously that free speech is being suppressed, censored and forbidden at a level the McCarthyist's and Nazis would envy we are no longer living in a democracy nor have such rights as freedom of speech, religion, and soon will be under something worse than communist China or the former USSR controlled by the WEF, NATO, EU and the Globalists of the deep state which to me seem to b one and the same.

I read the killing fields as a young adolescent in the 80s and it had the most profound effect on me. John and the other excellent journalists present in Cambodia at the time were a huge inspiration to me. He is still one of the only journalists I will take the time to listen to. The Mainstream media lies and deceit have reached unprecedented levels and personally, alongside the politicians, Gran pharma, WEF, all should be tried for crimes against humanity! Thanks for having this great man on

Julian Assange should be tried here by a (independant) Jury ....but , the establishment won`t have that because they can not engineer the predictable outcome. God help this countries future.

I went on a package holiday to the soviet union in the late 80s and John Pilger was on the same trip with his son. I reckon that only a few of us knew who he was and we left him alone

When Johns mentions "those who wish to rule over us" and "close down spaces" - he sums up exactly the reality, There was a team when politicians really did seek to serve the public. Not now.

Chapeau to John Pilger in keeping some modicum of optimism in face of so much shameless corruption....I know I couldn't😞

We all know who John Pilger is, but many people havent heard of another fine journalist, namely Peter Oborne. They both make the occasional honest mistake, but neither would deliberately lie to their readers and in that respect differ from the vast majority of journalists nowadays.

The inability to make anonymous comments, even on moderated platforms is a serious concern. It's shocking that the level of media control now requires Real-name system comments. Even The Times this week (13th December 2022) removed the use of pseudonyms when commenting. The Times is an expensive subscription based commenting system where the account owner is well identified. Over the last 5 years, the moderation has become very restrictive, so perhaps this is another way for them to save money. Many of us have employment/professional concerns on using our own names, however we need to contibute to all areas. The identifiability of commenters is an issue when it comes to those who wish to engage or worse outside of the particular issue and forum. It is vital to comment and discuss significant issues, legislation, the courts and other corrupt institutions.
