John Prine's Tune, 'Hello In There' Covered by 'Sunup'....

Originally from Rochester, New York, this three-piece folk/rock trio titled Sunup toured clubs, bars, colleges, and concert venues, opening for Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, Jimmy Cliff, Eric Andersen, and the James Gang. They released two albums during the 1970s, 'Passion & Politics' and 'Saratoga Sunrise', which you can stream on Apple Music and Spotify. Their friendship continued even after they disbanded at the end of 1978. The group's songwriter Garry Manuel opened Manuel's Music Studio in Fairport, New York. Bassist Charlie Castilano went on to become a graphic designer and, later, a project manager for the Mead Corporation. James D. (Goona) Wilson became an on-air morning show radio personality known as 'Ethan Carey' on the classic rock station I-95 WRKI in western Connecticut. In 2023, Sunup's three members decided to reconnect to record a 50th Anniversary album. The first album's release is their rendition of John Prine's 'Hello In There.'
