Wow! I just discovered this song from the KZbin music app,,, totally new to me, and it came on while I was plowing the city streets,, and I was just having a bad day,,,but this came on and made my day so much better...Every new song I add to my list,,I like to look at a few covers,,just to see a different take on the song...but man I have to truly thank you..because you not only covered the song exceptionally,,,you set up your camera as a tutorial so I just played along with you...great job brother!!!

Thank you Sr.! I haven't uploaded in a long time as I simply don't have much of camera and believe it or not, I don't have or want a cellphone..nor do I know much in the way of production..I'm playing through a loop peddle with a simple one guitar backtrack that I did right before the take with a beat that's on the peddle itself, so it's all a bit rough ..So nice to hear that your day got better..actually been thinking about doing tutorials..maybe if I ever get set up better for it..CHEERS!

thank you for the positive comment, kinda makes me want to start posting again and I agree!..where I live, it used to get some play on the country station when it came out back in the 90's but never caught on like I thought it should have ..one of my favorites by John Prine

Looks like he is hitting E , A and B7 but I can't get the same sound and rythm.

I pre recorded a simple rhythm on my looper pedal as you can see me lift my leg right at the end to stomp the off switch..I can play it all at once but when during the solo you have to hit one none on the E string and let it ring out, then the same for the A which sounds pretty empty..as for the rhythm, even though it looks like I have an open handed strum I'm chunking on the bass notes pretty heavy, pretty much power chording my way through it..on the B7, start your strum down start a slide to the 4th fret at the same time keeping the chord shape..by the time you get to the 4th you're sounding out the 2 bottom strings and letting the slide sound out the chord for you..at the end of the slide back I usually do a little up strum just catching the 2 bottom strings again to fill out the riff..hope this helps

Good day from Nova Scotia,, I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on the intro. I love that song. Thanks

sorry for the late reply,..I'm sort of "anti cellphone" and my camera seams to left town lol but I've been thinking a lot lately on doing tutorials.. but as far as this goes, it's all on the bottom string with the second string played open, sliding to the 4th fret and back for the basic idea ..hope this helps 🙂
