In an archival interview with CD, Sr., he tells the tales of bus problems in the early years, CD, Jr. also tells the beginnings of the CDB before the band's formation in 1972 and promises to alternate podcasts and soapboxes each week.

It was a sad day here in America when we lost MR CHARLIE DANIELS, What a fantastic MUSICIAN. GOD BLESS YOU CHARLIE DANIEL'S. I seen him at the grand old opry right before his passing.

Loved Charlie...the man. Yes, I loved his music but I got to interview him several times and he was always welcoming and down to earth. I met Charlie for the first time in the late 70's at a radio station CFGM in Toronto. Years later I met him again when I worked at WSIX in Nashville. I was gobsmacked! Charlie remembered my name. Who does that?!! I interviewed him for the last time about a year before he passed, as he talked about his book. "Never Look at the Empty Seats" I read it then and I will read it again. Some hilarious moments in it. I wept when he died. God Bless Charlie!

its a good start . no ones goin a fix your bucket . get up n go to work .

that point y all made about it bein covid time and there not being Normal people on the street , in Nashville ,is the same thing that happened in the town i live by .the meth problem looked around ,down on mainstreet , saw they were alone and just basically moved right in there . Usage left the alleys and took a front seat on mainstreet .it given the homeless and junkies a wider playing field without dispute of the clean citizens that normally would be there .not only has it increased the crystal meth , problem but it has slowed down the return of buisness n customers in our downtowns . the few times that covid was subsiding in the summer , and things were opening up a bit, with more clean people down town , the users retreated and their presence thinned out . Canada . i saw Charlie Band . 3 times 1978 ,,1990 , n around 2006 , 8 ? i play him all the time always will . just listened to his Doin Dylan cd . too cool .
