+Cyge Firstcaste (Cyge) Yea, any decent stand-up comedian has a strategy or set of techniques for dealing with hecklers and rude people during a show. Just look at Steve Hofstetter. The guy is internet famous for how he deals with hecklers to the point where a lot of people question if the hecklers are planted/paid audience members (which they're not). Some standard stuff I've seen comics do regarding hecklers: -Repeat what the heckler said so the rest of the audience can hear what they said and how dumb they sound -If what the heckler said is unclear, ask them to repeat what they said -Win the rest of the audience over by complimenting them on their good behavior -Hang the heckler by the rope he made for himself with his inane comment -This can be done in a variety of ways and the degree to which the heckler needs to be humiliated depends on the situation

Cyge Firstcaste If you were replying to me (which I think you are), I'm not a stand-up comic, nor do I plan to be. I just like to think that I'm fairly observant after having watched quite a few routines and heckler videos. I would never deign to think that I could do what a lot of these stand-up comedians do. I neither have as quick a wit or as much life experience from which to draw on as these professionals do in order to dispatch hecklers with as seemingly little difficulty as they do. Regardless, sometimes I guess you have to learn through experience how to deal with hecklers and rude people. Or have someone who's been in the business a while give you a few tips.
