I was telling a lady in our sewing group recently that my late husband did a lot of remodeling old homes and his carpentry was a lot like sewing. You do a lot of measuring and cutting but using different tools. He would also use templates at times. I would help him at times and I enjoyed it a lot and love to sew. I just love making things.

I think it is wonderful that you have family. I don’t have family. I do have social media. I have nurtured what I have. And I take all my worries and fears to the people. They get me through every problem including the second hand issues of “nuisance” situations. I am not capable of handling the stress so I just throw it back out there. I am gifted, talented and equal. Nothing will ever cause me to be chiseled down to a nub. What people have to say about me is none of my concern. All is well across the pond, here. Thank you for the video.

My husband had a bad fall on Thursday - he has Parkinsons and tumbled on his daily walk to the mailbox - and he was in and out of hospital for several days but he is mending well, with a multicoloured face now as you may imagine, but he's okay thank goodness. However, that is why I'm only now watching the Christmas box videos on Tuesday night, November 1st. I think it's actually Wednesday morning already back yem though, so the boxes will already be sent out. I just wanted to say how lovely the candleholders are while I have the time. I love the idea of having something made in my home place from things that grew there, and look so beautiful and were designed and created in their home place. In 1977 on our first trip back after 10 years in Alberta I saved leaves from every tree I could, flower heads from every wild ones I could access, including heather and gorse, with a little fuzzball of sheep's wool from brambles as a bonus, and pressed them all and framed them into two pictures after we flew back west again. At the coast I did some mudlarking and found some sea coal and a piece of amber, and of course sea glass. I have them all where I can see and touch them. You can take the girl out of the country, but... you know the rest. 🥴 Beautiful idea Johnny and beautifully created. It's so nice to see how the family enjoys cooperating, and each other's company too. A very enjoyable video indeed. 🖖💖 🇨🇦

John, you are so sweet and cheeky! I love the candle holders. Am a woman artisan and was a wood carver for 20 years so I love the infinite beauty of wood grain. I carved Western Red Maple, Alder, Red Cedar, and Yellow Cedar. The fragrances were awesome! Made my own non toxic food safe wood wax with beeswax and non toxic non scented linseed oil or ting oil from Lee Valley here on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. Now I’m just past 76, gulp! 🫢and love watching the things you do, Kate. I construct junk journals and hand bound books, crochet, build automata’s, fold kusudamas and origami tessellations, sew, dye cloth and paper, practice zentangling, momigami, and joomchi, as well as garden.
