I find it amusing/nuts that Lazslo thinks John is letting his emotion get in the way of logic when it comes to Sara, but as an audience member you're sitting there going, "Dude, if it weren't for his Emotion, he wouldn't be here helping you. He helps cause he cares, his whole reasoning for being on the team is because he cares about his friends and he cares about the poor boys who are being butchered". John is the heart of the team, and that's why it is so fun (and torturous at times) to see him interacting with Sara. Society and life have trained her to be scared of letting the world see her heart, to see her emotions, so she allows only the bravery and sarcasm to show, she's much more stoic than the men around her, in order to be taken seriously. Yet, John can make her smile and laugh, and after she gives him any reprimand about how he addresses her or such- he complies right off, and then minutes later, does something to make her smile again.

Yes 💯. Dakota said this during this last press tour-Sara can only really be herself around john. This last season made me realize my favorite character is john and I just want him to be happy. If Sara makes him happy, fine. She really frustrates me (and she frustrated him too. Lol) but he still wants her. I feel legit bad how trapped he is at the end of season 2.

Their relationship reminds me of a Shakespeare quote "The course of true love never did run smooth." They will get their true love/story soon.

It's admirable that Sara wants to stand on her own two feet, but John is such a dear, and a gentleman. He just wants to help and protect her, like a gentleman should! Perhaps sometimes he overdoes it, or gets pushy, but his intentions are honorable and so sweet. He thinks more from the heart, than the head, the opposite of Kreisler. Kreisler isn't bad, he's just too logical sometimes and unapproachable, and he acts that way too.

I'd choose John over Kreisler any day! No offense. Kreisler is smart. But he's no John Moore!

I can't thank you enough because of you I know this show and I love it, especially John and Sara. It needs more attention! And in the latest episode I was just like 'Ok a hug... and now kiss' haha. Anyway, your edit is beautiful and makes me wanna do one too, so thank you again. Keep up the good work! ✨

Thank you! This show is fantastic and needs more attention. I'd love to see you make a video for it. :D (Also, TA writers are such a tease! They know we want John/Sara so they're making it the slowest burn in the world.)
@cyruzcrushx6 жыл бұрын
yeah sadly it hasn't, i'm very impressed by TA. and i am working on it, so hopefull it will be done soon! omg so true! every scene they have these appealing coversations and i am just desperated waiting for a kiss and then all of the sudden it doesn't happen :D she just drives away with the carriage or doesn't react or something else happen - okay i need to stop i love them way too much xD

"Slowest burn" is right! Check out these excerpts from nytimes.com recaps of episodes 7 & 8 relating to J/S which I so agree on:1. (from episode 7) "On a final note, the progress of Sara and John’s romance has become nearly as compelling to track as the murder investigation because of the character insights it uncovers along the way..."www.nytimes.com/2018/03/05/arts/television/the-alienist-recap-many-sainted-men.html2. (from episode 8) "The actor Luke Evans’s charmingly wide-eyed way of portraying Moore’s naïveté is genuinely charming and offbeat - moreover, it makes him a terrific opposites-attract match for Dakota Fanning’s Sara Howard. She’s intimidatingly flat, he’s endearingly flustered..."www.nytimes.com/2018/03/12/arts/television/the-alienist-recap-psychopathia-sexualis.html

Ariel, thanks for the great vid! The color and editing are perfect and I love the music you use! John admiring/checking out Sara in 1.10 is one of my fave scenes! And I find John's increasing jealousy (towards Kreszler) in the last 2 episodes most delicious to watch, ha ha! A 'bonus' scene to us J/S fans must be Sara initiating the hug (in 1.02). I believe she realizes now who is the better man and whom she can trust with her life. I am really happy she is 'thawing' and is seeing John for the treasure he is! My fave scene so far though is still John semi-jokingly proposing to Sara. How cute was that!! "I John Schuyler Moore take thee Sara Howard to be my wedded wife...". Makes me laugh and smile each time I watch/recall that scene! I hope J & S become a couple by end of the season (episode 10). And I hope there is a season 2. I can watch John forever. I think the actor's fantastic!

John is pretty amazing! In the beginning he was a heavy drinker and sleeping with prostitutes but we find out why--his ex wife whom he loved very much left him...He falls for Sara but Sara being so into her job and a cold person in general doesn't return his affections! Somebody please smack her across the face (again) because what kind of crazy woman doesn't want a man like John? His face, his body, his voice! I mean really!
