FYI, JS hasn't been a GM until last yr, he has no real Seahawk Draft exp. Deranged Pete made all the draft calls. Pete ruined our future with the failed J. Adams trade. Pete was washed up 6-7 yrs ago.

I hope Michael Penix Jr is one of the 30 and #16 in the draft we need him to be a Seahawk
@larrylindgren9484

He is a talent but at 16 it's a wasted pick. You traded for a QB who is younger than Penix. If you now turn around and draft Penix now it tells everyone the QB you just got was a waste of time. He the best pure passer in the draft. You plug him into an offence and keep him upright he's going to be very good. On the wrong team he's out of the league in 2 years. Why? Because he doesn't give you a bail out QB. One that looks at one read and then runs. Which is most every QB now baring a very few. It's a shortcut to playing QB. Give the QB an all-star lineup to make his 1 read open more because he can't get to the second read. If he's sitting, there in the 3rd or later sure. At 16 my Lord no. And it's not that he doesn't have talent. Seattle is not Denver who has to pick a QB they don't have one. Seattle whether you like it or not have two. Adding a third who is older than your backup is a, just no. A backup who showed you he might be a player and he showed you in the NFL. Before you cry, 'he thew 21 INTs!" He had the same INT rate as Josh Allen. Which mean they both threw a ton of INTs.

I left the KJ Wright podcast because KJ refused to call out Pete's deranged drafting and 100% for CB's only and that kind of Bias or protecting the Head man (JS) serves no one the truth questions or answers they have or want. Wyman is catering to JS wishes.

So I get that the team has better cap space info and analysts than will be at Over the Cap. Thing is even based on the public information We only have $2 to $3 M available. How are we going to bring in another free agent that doesn't suck and still have money for PS gameday elevations?
@tomdrewenskus8167
@tomdrewenskus8167 2 ай бұрын
Hawks can always extend contracts another year to help with cap room. Some guys with contracts above league minimum may be cut if Hawks find someone cheaper and just as good. Teams don’t need to be under the cap until start of regular season.

He better take Penix if he's available, or trade the 1st rd rd pick for a late first rd (and hopefully get WA OG/OT TF) and get a second rd pick for trading down. Or we trade the entire first rd pick for a 1st Rd pick in 2026 (draft QB Manning) and a Second rd pick for this year and maybe another 3rd rd pick. A first rd pick in 2026 is worth much less, but it prepares us to go after Manning if our current QB's don't work out.

Why didn’t you ask him about trading DK? Oh right. Because that’s absolutely an absurd and clearly satirical take. Stop the click bait stuff if you aren’t going to ever follow through.

To think DK is not tradeable is more absurd. ANYONE is tradeable for the right price and as a GM you must have open ears at all times. Do you see how many great WRs are coming out of college? It's much easier to find a good wide receiver now. He's replaceable, for the right price. Regardless of fans emotional attachment.
@Cam-mo7gq
@Cam-mo7gq 2 ай бұрын
@2jyeti909 And given the amount of WRs in this draft, why would anyone pay enough to get him. I agree everyone has a trade price, but ours will be far too high. As for replaceable, not really. There is no one out there like him. To date the Hawks have only scratched the surface of his potential.

@@Cam-mo7gq he's fast and he's physical but he still runs rounded slants. Ask Charvarius Ward from the 49ers. He's replaceable, for the right price.

What's to stop the kicker doing what he does now booming it out of the endzone? Unless they do something about that this will do close to nothing. Sure, if kicker leaves it short and not many do, you'll get a return and probably a big on with you can move until the ball hits the ground or is caught. They want safety and are trying to bring back kick returns. Kind of silly.

“taking opportunities away from guys” is the worst argument. The roster size isn’t changing so there will still be opportunities. It may be for different players who wouldn’t get an opportunity otherwise. There will still be guys who make teams and other guys who don’t.

O-line comment @11:02. Draft open question @19:15. Just more dismissive backhanding regarding the lingering problem that's ignored year after year. O-line ranked 30th of 32, down 3 spots. Absolute bottom of the league in O-line spending. No more cheerleading, call it out Wyman. This was a poor interview.

JS admitted that there are holes on the O-line. Expect him to sign a veteran LG before the draft, and expect him to address it in the draft. Hopefully not just in rounds 6 or 7.
