The best PCRI video I've seen yet. All the science is great and informative. But the headspace of prostate cancer patients is often ignored. Only one out of five doctors asked me how I FELT. And then the knee-jerk reaction was to write a prescription. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent information about what to expect as a prostate cancer person, as well as the information on how to approach the situation and encounter your doctor. Also a piece of vital information for caregivers. tumps up.

I watched Part 1 & 2. Thank you Mr. Shearron for sharing your story and insights. And thank you Alex for doing theses interviews. I am in process of deciding what treatment path I should take. Mine also is on one side of the prostrate and I am leaning toward radiation but am intrigued by cryotherapy.

There is a listing of support groups on our website here: pcri.org/supportgroups The organization "Answer Cancer" also has a weekly virtual support group for prostate cancer that is very good. You can find information about it here: ancan.org/prostate-cancer/

After so many tests PSA, CT CT SCANS, MRI and MRI guided biopsy being the last, my urologist concluded I have a prostate cancer graded 5. Then he asks me to have a PET SCAN to determine if there isn't a metastasis. If time comes I have to undergo a treatment, what would be the best weighing both survival and quality of life? I was offered hormone&radiation or surgery. I took surgery July 2020. Doc. is happy with my numbers so far... I'm still Wondering if I'll ever have 'normal" sex again. Tri-Mix helps a bit. Not enough unfortunately. Nope, no more surgeries (no pump) for me, unless it is clearly live/die...still glad I didn't take hormones...And I keep telling myself: this is better than cancer. 🤷🏽♂️ I believe that. But I'm struggling with this "new" altered life.

MJ, Sorry to hear that. Depending on your situation, there may be interventions that can help if you are interested. There are urologists who specialize in restoring sexual function after surgeries like radical prostatectomy. You are welcome to contact our free helpline if you want to learn more. Our contact info is here: pcri.org/helpline
