It doesn’t seem that long ago that our six children were this small. In February 2007, our youngest daughter, Juliana, was stricken with cancer for the first time. We had no idea, at the time, that the cancer would come back SEVEN MORE TIMES and she would die, after a failed bone marrow transplant, on October 24, 2016 at the age of fourteen.
As you can see, in this video, Juliana was always to happy and outgoing. I, often, imagine what our family would look like today if Juliana had never been stricken with cancer.
As of early 2025, our daughter has two children (Draven and Annabelle) who are six and two years old. Lindsay has a four year old son named Jaxson. Matthew earned a Master’s Degree in 2024. Timothy is an accomplished and respected magician.
If only I could turn back time.
Pediatric cancer is a “dream thief” as is steals the dreams of children that have/had goals and dreams for their lives. I heard the term “dream thief” from Jennifer Hocum (attribution is important to me).
Juliana just wanted to be healthy and to become a Chef when she grew up.
