Beautifully rendered, Mr Coope has a wonderful voice, especially when singing with Msrs Boyes and Simpson too.

I'm disappointed by this performance after how beautifully Tams uses trad music in other contexts. He talks about the Shakers here and makes a joke about them "not having thought it through" and not lasting because they were celibate. They're still around more than 200 years later and there are Shakers living even now. Please, know what you're talking about and don't use real people's beliefs and way of life as comic relief! This text is nice but the way it's played here is so pop, it's scary. It's about as true to a Shaker song as Michael Flatley's "Lord of the Dance." Deep sigh. I'm all for artistic license and living traditions need room to develop but have just a little respect for the original material and the people who created it, please!
