First heard about this snare in Toontrack's - "Metal Macnine EZX" how it's made video. Bought EZX directly after watching! :) Then upgraded to "Metal Macninery SDX" ... Great sounding piece of art! OMG that great solo begining at 2:34

It dawned on me watching this that most if not all of these kit pieces are included in Metal Machine/Machinery. Pretty cool seeing the real thing that you use in your DAW every day.

Superior Drummer's Metal Foundry has one of John's signature series, might be THIS one, and Jesus does it sound sweet. When using that snare, I cant help but find myself from hitting random notes on it more than the others. You just WANT to hear it!

@SpinalAlloy Try taping a quarter on the head at the point where the beater hits--that way when u hit the drum the beater will hit the metal of the coin , producing that clicking sound
