I took my Grandkids to a wildlife park that had several lions there, and as we were making our way to leave the park one of the lions roared like John. It felt like he was right behind me it being that loud when we were a good two hundred yards away. Apparently in the wild a lions roar can be heard some five miles away.

This doesnt do justice to the actual volune if the sound. We were there one and we heard him literally half way across the zoo, maybe more. It was amazing! We raced back and watched him till he was done! I think we were at Hippo Cove when we heard it. Something.
