Great floor general. Always loved his game. Doesnt force 3s, plays the game the right way if you asked me.
@Joe_Parmesan4 жыл бұрын
I agree with that. Something that could take his game to the next level is being more useful without the ball. That comes with more guys that can comfortably play on ball though, which Beal is now and Rui looks to become that soon. Wall's catch and shoot 3P% is around 37-38%, which is much better than his pull up 3P%. Being ready to shoot and make cuts off ball will transform the team, along with Wall's natural ability as a facilitator and playmaker

John Wall is the best point guard in the east this is un debatable. Dude is clutch like heck, can make his teammates job INSANELY EASY (best passer in the league) and is also by far the best shot blocking point guard in NBA history. Dude block 7 footers off straight vert like it ain’t crap and gets huge chase down swats whenever he wants. Wiz in 6.

Not even a Wizards fan but I just love watching this man play hope he returns to his form one day prayers for his health
@schuylersavage2764 жыл бұрын
Not only returns to form, but returns and FINALLY gets HEALTHY!!! This game right here, this series where he averaged 26+ 11+ 5+ 2+ and 1+ blocks? He had JUST returned from knee surgery about a week before these playoffs started lol. Wall has always played his best ball, during his all star run, right after he returned from surgeries. I believe that was because it was always the healthiest he would ever be. While most players struggle to regain their form when they are coming off surgery, it’s all relative right! So for wall, that was actually the best he ever felt. Dude played hurt for his entire 5 year all star run. The only times he appeared to be healthy( it’s been revealed by his recent doctor that he was never fully healed due to underlying conditions) was in 2016/17 AfTER double knee surgery, and these playoffs, AFTER surgery. Yessir, I trurtl hope he is able to At LeAST return to this form, but I do think it is like 25 percent possible that he is even better than we’ve ever seen. I don’t think he will ever AVERAGE numbers as good as his best, but as we’ve seen from a lot or players, just becusdr your numbers drop that doesn’t mean you aren’t better. I mean I don’t think anyone believes lebron was his best in his 3rd year, but that was the year he had his highest stats. I think IF Wall ends up on Houston without harden, then we might see him averaging around 27 and 10, but alongside side, I think when if he is better than he’s ever been, his assists are going to be way down, and his volume and usage will as well. We could see a 15 and 5 John wall that is actually just as good or better than ever, simply due to a new role. According to Arenas and KD and all of these people who saw him play recently, even some team scouts who were watching, Wall looks as if he is fresher and healthier and BETTER than ever. The scours said something about his shot just looks so much more fluid, and it’s accurate. He made 15 pull up 3s in one game, 15!!! And he dropped 60 in one game, but idk other specific details. But Kd said wall looks better than he’s ever seen him in person. A really cool interview with Arenas and Wall is online if you are interested. It’s basically some really cool stuff that They talk about. To summarize: Gilbert helped Wall actually put all of the things he worked on into live game play. He said that Wall never had an individual development coach who was good enough for him. The wizards never invested in that. So Wall would have to search people out on his own, and he found great trainers and worked out with lebron and etc, clearly it paid off! But in terms of shooting, he never had someone like Arenas, someone who was an elite NBA shooter themselves, and a practice savant, who was really able to impact the way wall trained. Wall has become a 34 percent shooter combined ever since he started working on his pathetic 7 percent 3 ball lol, but with as much time as he put in, he didn’t see the most amazing results. As we all saw, Wall become a shooter who could nail 5 3s in a half, but also not make a single 3 all game. Very hot and cold. Well, wht Gilbert helped him do during all of his time off was not just to take 2,000 shots a day, but when you are playing games against Kyire and harden and Kd, make sure you actually practice the things you worked on! A cool story was when Wall dropped 60 in one of the games. He came over to Gil after and asked “how did I look!?!:)” expecting to be praised for looking like his old self again, but Gil said “ehh” and Wall was like what!?! I dropped 60! But arenas said “yeah, but you looked exaclty the same as you used to. You made the same moves that you’ve always been able to use to post all star numenrs and have 52 point games. You aren’t trying to do ALL of the things we’ve worked on to improve your game!” That got through to wall apparently. So the next game he took and made 15 pull up 3s!! And they talked about how it was surprising, but it didn’t even feel to wall like he “never could do that” he simply never tried!! It just wasn’t part of his game!!! SO; all of this really makes all of the comments about walls improved game Really make sense. Of course, once the season starts he hopefully won’t just revert back to all of the moves he is comfortable with. But if it’s true that he was able to really get past a hurdle, well then, watch out. If we can see the on fire shooter than Wall was SOMETIMES on a more consistent basis? Well that just legit scary. Scary. Imagine a John Wall who can make 40 percent of 8 3s a game? Lol!!! And if you think about it, we’ve seen him make 37 percent of 5 3s a game during the last season he finished, sooo!?! I don’t think it’s impossible! To make 3 more 3s every 100 he takes? I could DEF see it. Plus he’s actually shot 40 percent on catch and shoot 3s before, so plating off the ball with harden setting him up! With an improved shot!?? I’m not sure about anything. He might suck. But there is a Logical path to follow that leads to him being SO good
