As far as I know, Lance Reddick (Charon, the hotel concierge) has never played an untrustworthy character. Everything I’ve seen him in or heard his voice in, if he plays a villain, he’s clearly a villain from the beginning. And he always gave excellent performances. RIP Lance Reddick

The John Wick scenes get more intense in each film. Just wait until you see Chapter 4, Madison! Keanu does most of his own stunts, long continuous takes show Keanu fighting rather than a stunt double, and there are long take fight scenes in Chapter 4 that will blow your mind!

My favorite remark in the entire in reaction which was excellent all around as usual... Was: " that awkward moment when you realize you are both wearing armor!" Brilliant! it reminds me of a routine from the great comedian George Carlin about sentences you think you'd never hear in your life! I have to add yours to it! Lol. Oh, and my favorite of his...." Hand me that piano!"" that awkward moment when you realize you're both wearing armor!"

Keanu fits in with the Cyberpunk style city like featured in the opening for sure! Guess that's why he's Johnny Silverhand after all. I'm hyped for him voicing Shadow in the Sonic 3 movie.

Hi Madison. I love that you love these movies. So many cool things in these movies too. Shoutouts to other movies etc. Also little things that the writers seem to have put in for their own amusement. For example in the 1st film, when John goes to the club looking for the kid he mentions the doormans weightloss, and the guy says he lost (60)??? lbs or kilos or whatever. That was John asking how many men Viggo had in the club to defend the kid, and the guy answered him with a number. Oh btw the new dog was chosen by John because the pooch was slated to be destroyed. Also that dog is actually keanu's dog in real life. Don't wait a month to watch chapter 3 Madison. Also they named them chapters because of the way the movies pick up where the other left off. Almost like a series. No spoilers from me. I will say however that aside from an awesome new co-star there are reasons you will love chapter 3. I will be looking forward to watching you watch!! Stay safe and well.

I never considered that. If he could pull off an Italian scent, Keanu would play an excellent Revelations era Ezio

I bet the art work is now worth more after John added his touches to them. He is famous all around the world after all, by making a killing in his field.

Great video as always. I remember watching the 1st one thinking it would be a cheap and cheesy action thing...wow was I pleasantly surprised. The unique and very detailed world these movies create is like another main character in its own right. The cast and incredible filming (especially the colors and lighting) are almost "too good" for the movie. I look forward to the rest of the series.

Glad you enjoyed this one, too. I think John was always going to go after Santino, after his security showed up at the rave to eliminate him, and only more so after the bounty was placed. It became as he laid out for the Bowery King, "coming after you, or coming after me..." Santino was on the High Table, and they have, in effect, sanctioned his actions, and would protect him from any vengeance. So John, knowing the inevitability of it all, whenever he acted, went ahead and, and unexpectedly forced everyone's hand. A Let's Do this Thing moment. I also liked the little ending speech, from Gianna, paraphrasing the "I go out my way" speech from Marcus, in the 1st Chapter film. Great series. See you for Chapter 3.

Thanks for your reaction, Madison. As an amateur novelist myself, I try to look at plot twists, character growth and the usual things. This movie, on the other hand, allows me to just sit and enjoy the story (revenge all around) built on fights and a nice developed world building. In this chapter we get more info about the crime world of JW and it's pretty nice. I also enjoyed the direction and cinematography, some shot are pretty sick visually! Fun fact: Riccardo Scamarcio, the Italian actor playing Santino, sent his audition with a video to the producers saying he was a wine and olive oil producer (which he actually is) They hired him after the video. Also Franco Nero, the man playing the manager of the Italian Continental in Rome is a famous actor who played in the original Django (and in the Tarantino movie too) and long time Spaghetti western actor. He was the Italian Clint Eastwood for western director Sergio Corbucci. I'm glad you enjoyed this movie. Greetings from Italy.

"That car"......girl !!! A '69 BOSS 429. I was a senior in 1969 and I knew a guy who had one. It's a badass car. Only thing that would touch it was a homemade '58 Ford with a 390 and 3-2 barrel carbs and a rusted out body. The guy had built it for one purpose...getting pink slips (racing for car titles) They never raced because the Mustang was stolen and showed up about 3 years later when a lake half dried up during a drought.

She was committing suicide, before her life ended, John shot her dead in an attempt to save her soul from eternal damnation. That is how I see it.

Yep, they were discussing fear of damnation before he shot her. Also, in order to fulfill the marker she had to die by his hand, even if it was a bit redundant.

Santino burned down John's house. I'm surprised that John had enough restraint not to just kill him at the beginning of the movie after that. John doesn't feed on the revenge. But he is, as they say, a man of focus and sheer willpower. Had Santino not burned the house, John probably wouldn't have been so driven to kill him. From John's perspective, he's lost everything. And a man with nothing left to lose is a very dangerous man. Compounded by Santino double-crossing John by sending his own assassins after him, and opening the bounty on him. We know that John and others like Winston very much try to hold to the codes of honor. And with what Santino's done with those latter 2 acts, seems very much like a breech of that "professional courtesy". Santino is a lying, 2-faced weasel and John is the ego check that Santino needed. Winston giving John an hour to run is his own way of saying "I would've done the same thing in your shoes."
@stonecoldku4161Ай бұрын
John killing Santino in The Continental was really his only choice. Santino was taking over New York, and he could just stay in the hotel giving orders to take the city. When they take the city, he may take The Continental as well, leaving John Wick with no place to hide. Plus, if John leaves the hotel Santino's $7 million contract is still on his head. John is going to be chased by assassins whether he killed Santino or not. By killing Santino then he stops Santino's takeover of New York, keeping the promise he made to Laurence Fishburn's character, John gets his revenge and all that changes for John is that he can't stay in The Continental anymore.

Great reaction as always, Madison. To me it seemed like John killed Santino because he had had enough of his cowardice, not because he had had enough of the rules. He was perfectly willing to play by the rules when it came to the fight with Cassian. John could have waited for Santino to leave the Continental and Chapter 3 would have been a different movie.
