In the 3rd movie the doctor that stitches him up minutes before he gets cut off by everyone. The doctor asks him to shoot him in the shoulder and lower left abdomen because it'll look convincing but wouldn't be fatal. Those are exact places that John gets hit in the duel. Not sure that's a coincidence

Regarding food in John Wick 4; Donnie Yen is definitely, blatantly ploughing soup down his neck in his purposefully cool-as-fuck, soup-necking re-introduction beat of the first action scene ... Like, him eating is literally a perfect little piece of what makes that Osaka scene so rhythmically on point... in fact, it's a brilliant piece of visual storytelling and character building that lets us know that Cain is about to be an absolute fucking bad-ass... Also; Scott Adkins is the most underrated action star of the last 20 years. And he's not in BvS. For the love of god, please watch AVENGEMENT, NINJA: SHADOW OF A TEAR, UNDISPUTED 2, 3 & 4, UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: DAY OF RECKONING, ACCIDENT MAN 1 & 2, SAVAGE DOG and ONE SHOT...

Theory 1 - John Wick takes place in the Saint's Row universe. It matches the games perfectly; the first one is ultra-realistic, the second is mostly realistic with some over the top elements to make it stand out, and the 3rd and 4th ones just goes all out fantasy rules. In the 5th movie, John will be the president of the United States and have super powers! Theory 2 - John Wick takes place in the Fast and the Furious universe because anything involving cars can't damage the protagonist.

That movie was purposely made with the thought of undermining expectations. That's why almost everything that was speculated or theorized on was completely the opposite. You were supposed to go in thinking it would be a sequel when they clearly from the opening explanation that is was Matrix in name and characters only. A resurrection as they so called it.

John wasn't dead and hadn't fired his third shot so when the Marquis basically went to Donnie Yen "No I'm tapping in to this duel now" he was a part of the duel and John shot him. He followed the rules and Marquis was brought down by being a glory hog and wanting to claim credit for the kill, so John shot him dead and got his freedom.

I feel like a rewatch would benefit them if they keep saying that John Wick 3 is “mostly the same thing.” I’d sooner say that about 2, which while a great action movie, felt a lot like “the first movie but more.” I’m not sure what action scenes in 3 felt samey. Was it the one on one with the big guy in the library? Or the museum fight with him assembling a revolver and throwing various display weapons at his enemies? The stable scene where he uses a horse to takes down assassins and rides away to fight a pursuing motorcyclist? The second act has the long sequence with the dog but it also has the ninja assassins killing off the Roma, and wedon’t see Halle Berry’s character again after the second act. And then the third act has the armored units storming the continental and the martial arts fight in the mirror room ending with a one v one against John’s ninja fanboy. Parabellum felt the most diverse with its action among the first 3 John Wick movies and I don’t know how it could have felt the most samey.

here in germany there is a weird tick tock trend where angry teenager go to the Creed screening and behave like such assholes that the movie has to be interrupted, they throw popcorn and sodas around and try to start fistfights when people try to interveen. it goes so far that some theaters have set the bar up to pg 16 or older so that "normal" peole can enjoy the film. some cinemas wont even show the film.

I thought everything was great about JW 4 until the final part on the hill with the duel. For a movie with such great visuals otherwise that green screen of Paris in the background was so bad I burst out laughing when Winston said "what a lovely view". I feel that for the emotional moment of john wick looking out into the horizon they really should have found and actual hill in paris

JW4 is the worst of the series and just needs to end. Script was paper thin and Keanu can't act to save his life. I would rank the series in the order they came out meaning each addition has diminishing returns. Shame Lance died as he was the best part of 3. Also, I better not hear any complaints from these 2 about the fantastical elements of Fast X as JW should have died or at least have been gravely injured at least 2 dozen times in this ridiculous movie, but the falling down the stairs but got a genuine chuckle out of me.

I thought JW4 was the best due to the action set pieces and overall the film looked absolutely gorgeous compared to the others, however I agree that Keanu can’t act to save his life, and the dialogue for John wick himself is extremely wooden, although his stunt work is excellent.
