Congrats! Played the game on vacation in Canada with my brother. Love it! Want it! Can’t afford it yet, but one day! That LE is beautiful. Hope the techno party club scenes trigger lights, which I’m sure they do. Again congrats!

Even my Tomy Astro shooter has this effect. A small tiny light flashes in rhythm to the sound of the hyperspace shot.

But... isn't this what pinball tables normally do? An event happens in-game, and the corresponding lights/solenoids/speakers/whatever are told to fire. What's new here?

Would be interested to know if the Jaws speaker lights would work in Wick. Also, would I need the expression lights AND the speakers to get this effect? I already have a shaker motor in my premium.

From what it looks like in the Jaws and John Wick manuals, it looks like a separate node board in the backbox is used to drive the speaker lights. I'd guess this is included with the kits. My question is if the speaker kits work with the stock pro/premium 4 inch speakers or do a 5.25" Kenwood speaker/panel upgrade too.

@@slinger2112 Thanks for the reply. Now I'm really confused. If the speakers come with their own board, would infer that they are tied to specific games. But I saw some Zepplin expression lights on one and it seemed to work fine. Guess will just play the waiting game.

@@dkyzar If it works like other stuff, it's an additional off the (Stern) shelf node board that will require game specific code to be added to support it. The part numbers for the PCB look to be the same as expression lights, but instead of "node 2", they're set to be "node 7" or something like that (manual not in front of me). The speaker light control code is already in Jaws and Wick premium/LE, at least. Other games would need the code to "feed node 7", even if they already have expression lights. By using the dedicated board, it's easier to sell the kit for games that don't already have expression lights, and they can also program a unique light show for the speakers (like how Wick now does the "muzzle flash" effect on events).

@@slinger2112 Thanks again. So from what you are saying, it seems like the Jaws kit will work on the Wick? My next question would be if I have the shaker and the speaker kit (from Jaws), would I also need the expression lighting kit for the Event Driven System to work? Doesn't seem so, but I'm one of those annoying people that have pinball games, but don't know a lot about how they work. ;)

@@dkyzar Yeah. That would be my guess. Those same parts appear in the manuals for both Jaws LE and Wick LE. If you can make sense of the manuals, it can be confirmed. I think they even assign the same LED numbers for both games, which probably made coding easier. I forget if the price was officially announced, but the rumor I heard felt like decent value for that upgrade. I hope they update the backlog code for games like Foo Fighters.

Would love more explanation on 'dynamic enemies'. I don't feel the system that has been talked about with changing enemies based on gameplay. I don't feel it. Fun pin, great layout.
