That's the thing about Booth killing Lincoln. He was such a famous actor, everyone was like "Whaaaaat?" when it happened, because it sounded as farfetched as if you read in the newspaper that some famous actor like Di Caprio suddenly shot the President during a movie premiere.

They left out the best part. Lincoln's inept bodyguard at the time was drunk and sleeping. He wasn't fired and guarded Mary Todd Lincoln some time after.

That was DC police officer John Parker. He went to a bar during intermission and wasn't at his position when Booth arrived. He was finally kicked off the force 3 years later when he was caught sleeping on duty.

As a teacher I can confirm toddlers are basically tiny drunks. Randomly cry. Pee themselves. Fall out of chairs. Start fights for no reason. Unintelligible rambling etc etc haha.

Arita Berisha There’s encouragement for an individual’s artistic endeavors and there’s objective and fair view of their qualities. Adolf’s work were “semi-competent” and have some stroke of talents to them, but many artists of the same era produced works of far superior quality. One can’t make it in art with semi-competence.

And instead of placating it around it was only reported that it helped him get a bit more inner peace since he still wasn't over his brother killing the president and the letter and one other from Ulysses Grant consoled him
