Excellent video. Did not know the downside about steroids. I have osgood schlotter which means my knee-bone tendons have greatly pulled on my shin bones when I was growing, creating enormous bumps (1/2" high) just below my knee caps on my shins. For me there is no downside except I cannot kneel comfortably without pads because these bumps extend above my shin bone and most of my weight is on the bump/tendon attachment. So on canoe trips I need pads to kneel, which only partially helps.
