Glad to see product development still happening on the product lines designed and manufactured at good ole Ottumwa Works!

What about the transport option, ie the cart

Easiest to assemble then older models but definitely a step backwards in terms of the spring adjustment at the rear. Constantly hit the adjuster on either the belt drive case at the back or the light cluster bracket.

How would these stack up to my pottinger. My Deere dealer refused to sell us a movie, saying we would be better going elsewhere. We do not own a Deere anymore.

The C500 needs to have a heavier built handle for the crimping hood adjustment. In heavy hay with it down the handle will bend

Hmm 1209 MoCo, getting by with 35 HP tractor, or new discbine that needs more power. Whats the ROI on that plus added cost of fuel needed for more HP tractor?

Just beware!!!! I bought a new c400. It doesnt have the sight glass oil check. Or the vented cutterbar and handy cutter barn oil refill tube like the 946s had.. wish I kept my 946. Very disappointed

I just “upgraded” from a 946 to a c 400 2 weeks ago. The c 400 is garbage. It broke down within 2 hours of first operating. I had countless issues with over 20 hours of down time. I took it back to the dealer today. Having them find me a 946. These cutters aren’t John Deere quality and aren’t going to cut enough hay to pay for themselves at $43,000
