Watching April 12, 2024. I have a 9 needle Brother BE-0901E-AC that is over 20 years old. My daughter bought it when she was 12 years old and used it's out dated software for her in home embroidery business. Now that she is married and moving on she gave it to me. It still works amazing so I finally invested in Hatch software! I still use 3.5" floppy discs to transfer my designs.

I have been searching, studying and reading about different digitizing software and the kind of support I may get to use the program for the past 3 months. This class is the best, I’m been embroidering for last 4 years, I decided to take the digitizing class, the best decision I made. I own embroidery machine 10 needle Ricoma with Chroma software. I’m taking Floriani version that is similar to chroma. Not regret!

I left this field in 1999 before fabric assist was a thing, but I'm grateful it exists now so that a single design can be reused without manually altering stitch settings in an EMB file. Not surprised Wilcom remains the industry leader; we started out when it was still a DOS application with a puck-based digitizing board and our digitizer pool was 50/50 art school grads/production workers to ensure creativity while avoiding horrendous problems. I'm sorry I had to transition to another field (relocated to somewhere without a local shop) but I also think I left at the top of my game. I might have mentioned the importance of double running stitches on wearables, but we were a polo knit shirt shop. Good video.

Excellent teaching ! I sure wish I had this info when I worked for the Akro Corp in Canton Ohio. I was hired to as the head electrical technician in the embroidery department. I'm watching this today 4/13/22 as I learn to use my Elissimo Gold II. I purchased my first machine in 2001 a singer, then my second one a used Ellageo, in 2010, finally I got my current machine this year. So I'm a bit behind in learning digitizing. I purchased digitizing software back in 2012, but now it is no longer supported by the manufacturer, so I'm playing catch-up and have been traumatized by unfriendly programs that are difficult. I hope I learn at least the basics by watching this.

Which digitizing software did you get in 2012 & if you've purchased something new recently, which one was it? I started embroidering about 3 years ago and have been using online digitizers or buying premade designs; now, I'm looking to start digitizing myself. Most online digitizers don't get my view on the designs, which is quite frustrating. I'm really eager to learn because I have a small business now and would like to embroider my artwork rather than using premade designs. I have PE Design 11 software. Does the digitizing course cover how to use this software in depth, or is it mostly Hatch? I asked because most of your video tutorials are on Hatch.
