This moment captured in video serves as a reminder that Elvis's back singers were also extremely talented. How wonderfully authentic! And of course the man himself, Elvis, literally pours his soul into a gospel song. Thank you for sharing and what an honor for you to meet and shake the hand of one of the Stamps.

It's funny because Elvis had tried to join the Blackwood Brothers gospel group before he blew up. He didn't make the group, obviously, and the rest is HIStory! All of the singers are so good individually, but Elvis has that smoothness and tone that totally stands out!

Thank you for this choice of songs for your reaction video! These songs bring back beautiful memories of my childhood. Every Sunday while getting ready for Sunday School, Elvis Gospel LP's would be playing on the record player. *There's nothing like the static sounds from records*. My dad has been gone for two years now, but I will never hear an Elvis song, (especially Gospel) and not think of my dad.

You can see how happy gospel makes Elvis! He wanted to be a gospel singer in a group. When that didn't work out is when he went to rock. He never intended on being the super star he became, he just wanted to make enough money to take care of his family. Boy, did he! He took care of his parents , uncles aunts cousins and friends and strangers and gave them all jobs! He was an industry in himself! ❤ Before he died, he was planning on making changes in management , personnel and getting himself healthy and then wanted to go on a gospel tour! Of course that didn't happen, he ran out of time. If only even a year before, he'd made good on those plans, and gotten his head straight and took care of his medical problems, he might have lived longer. 😢 Something you always wonder, but never have an answer to.
