If you have a base PS4 and not a slim or a pro, those aren't compatible with the 5ghz networks anyway, so it won't show up.

Ok, network guru here... stay with me, I'll try and make this simple. 5GHZ WiFi will always be faster (at short ranges) because it is able to put more information (intelligence) on the carrier wave form (signal) given the tighter (faster) slices of time it takes to (multiplex) transmit 0's and 1's on the carrier frequency, however it has much less range than a 2.4GHZ setup. However the higher the frequency is, the less it can penetrate real world objects, such as furniture, walls, and floors. A 2.4GHZ setup will give a longer range and a more stable connection.... With that said, both wireless approaches add significant latency above and beyond what a hard wired cabled ethernet connection will do. The NAT type is just mapping an IP to another IP (public IP to a private IP and reverse) via the (OSI) layer 3 port. Mapped correctly via router configs can shave a few milliseconds off (even more if offloaded to hardware for processing vice software) of the transversal speed through said network hop. The takeaway is a hardwired connection is much better than ANY WiFi connection because WiFi will always introduce more (lag) latency.

The feature to change it to 2GHz and 5GHz is only on PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro it is not on the regular launch PS4 Sony didn’t implement that feature yet until PS4 Slim and Pro came out

For me it was the opposite. My router is relatively close by (a few rooms away) and 2.4 was really screwing me over. I tried everything I could think of: Turning off the PS4, changing the DNS, Easy Mode and Custom. Nothing worked. Then I switched it to 5 Gigahertz, and it increased from 10 to 87 mpbs. Try this if the video didn't helped. Ultimately it's the same process, but the opposite.

RnG Sometimes the overall load of you ISP is lower at certain times of the day compared to other times, with less load on your ISPs network you'll usually see a smoother and sometimes faster connection
